M.F.A Southern Connecticut State University (in progress)

I have a fellowship to attend the S.C.S.U. M.F.A program in poetry where I work with Vivian Shipley and Jeff Mock. I am also studying creative nonfiction with Tim Parrish.

Ph.D. Arizona State University

I received my doctorate from Arizona State University’s English department. Most of my classes were in the literature of the Americas (from literature of the encounter to the present time). My dissertation combined the study of contemporary cancer novels by American women authors with the rhetoric of the beef industry and its response to the mad cow disease crisis.

M.A. University of Geneva, Switzerland

I did graduate-level work on a Fulbright Fellowship in comparative literature in Switzerland and earned my license es lettres. I completed a minor in Art History  (in French) and majored in English. I also conducted research in contemporary Swiss poetry as part of my grant.

B.A. Hartwick College

In four years, I completed a triple major in Art History, English, and Spanish (the third student in the history of the college to do a triple major). I graduated summa cum laude with honors.
